Ultracycling is never just about the kilometers. It’s about everything you carry with you before you even start: the early mornings, the endless training rides, the doubts, the moments when you question why you’re doing this. The preparation has been eventful. My first goal of the year, @desertusbikus , fell through due to a last minute family emergency. I cried, adjusted my plans and moved on. Then @nomadianrhapsobike and I crossed paths. I had three months: training, preparing, looking at maps for hours. My biggest ride ever. The body is not exactly where I wanted it to be, but that´s okay. But past week has made it even harder. One week ago, I lost my grandfather. His road has come to an end. Mine is just starting.
